The Excentia Human Services classroom is an inclusive learning setting where learners of all abilities have a chance to experience preschool activities based on developmentally appropriate practice which considers the individual skill level of each child. We provide educational experiences in a nurturing environment which inspires a love of learning. We use a variety of approaches to learning within our classroom in order to provide meaningful learning opportunities for all young children.
We especially like to use multi-sensory experiences during learning activities which allow each child to touch, smell, hear, see, move and sometimes even provide tastes of items/materials during specific activities. We use a theme-based curriculum in order to build vocabulary skills important for literacy learning, social skills and building concept knowledge. Our vision is to create a community where all children have equal opportunity and equal value. We are very blessed to work closely with the staff of EXCENTIA Human Services at our preschool. The preschoolers who attend EXCENTIA Human Services have unique learning needs. We believe that integrating a typically developing student from Manor Church Preschool along with EXCENTIA benefits all of the children.
This class is for families that wish to have a typically developing student from Manor Church Preschool join the EXCENTIA classroom on Monday/Wednesday/Fridays from 9:00am-11:30am or Tuesday/Thursday from 9:00-11:30.
*If you have a child that would benefit from IU services, please register through the EXCENTIA site.

The Pre-K program is created for children who have a fall birthday and cannot yet attend Kindergarten, children who do not meet the age requirement to attend Kindergarten, or choose to wait. This class is designed in such a way that children are asked to perform many of the tasks that Kindergarten children are doing, but in a more relaxed environment. Our class does not replace Kindergarten. Besides academic skills, we provide many activities, hands-on experiences, and extracurricular programs that encourage the children to ask questions and build self-confidence in a classroom setting.
Pre-K Classes are offered on Monday/Wednesday/Friday mornings from 9:00-11:30. Students can also join us Monday-Friday for a 5 morning experience. Tuesday/Thursday students can attend classes from 9:00-1:00.
This program is designed to allow you to extend your child's day. Students in the 3's, 4's, and Pre-K classes will be able to stay after school to eat lunch and play with their friends! In the month January, we will open this program to our Early Learner friends as well. This is not only a way for your child to gain independence and work on socialization skills, but also gives parents the extra time they may need to pick up a Kindergartener.
